the amish funk e.p. was originally supposed to be released by robbaudio before his label went under and he ran off without paying everyone. we dug through the i.f.f. archives and found this absolute gem of an e.p. and realized a crime was committed when this was never released. featuring remixes by taperecorder, someone else, and jeff samuel. go get it while you can. it will probabaly only be up until christmas... ..

THE JUNIPER FLATS E.P.

mid tempo grooves from a late night recording session in an old haunted house in the desert. marc hug, jeffro, and lauren (lulu) lived out on juniper flats rd in the southern californian desert for almost nine months. this is a little glimpse into the music that was made during that strange and lovely time.
one song was rerecorded and the other two where cannibalized for 'the zero to one sessions' by mossyrock...

this is a 12 minute clip from the now defunct philadelphia internet radio show that i.f.f. played during their 2003 summer tour. like a lot of music that marc, andy, and mike created during their live sets; this piece was completely improvised and captured a moody late friday night that took place in a dimly lit intimate setting with some close friends and a bottle of whiskey. they never really played anything like it ever again.

'smooth: live & indirekt' is a live recording in which the best moments of two different intergalactic faerie funk shows were blended together. highlights from their live show at the dumkidz 'om festival' 2003 were mixed together with a live show at 'killtime' in philadelphia. there was a definite plan to release this album at some point down the road. in the meantime, there were cdr's burned for friends and family during the following (hectic) period of their lives. the cdr was eventually burned, copied, passed around to others; there were reports of people from san francisco to london playing it. new projects were started and old ones abandoned. 'smooth: live & indirekt' was unfortunatley one of the abandoned projects.
with the birth of mossyrock and marc hug starting to play under the taperecorder moniker; some time was spent looking thru and organizing older unfinished projects. je suis galactique and iff decided to make this live recording available for everyone to enjoy for free. left in the mix are all the drunken blunders, strange glitches, and rowdiness induced mistakes. afterall, that was were most of the magic was to be found...
