the '30 secondish remix' experiment by taperecorder is an album of 30 to 40 second long songs which have been remixed by a variety of different musicians. they are then presented back to back with originals of those said songs . the only rule was that the remix couldn't be more than double the length of the original. we are honoured to be presenting this project that involves the likes of tim 'love' lee, hollis monroe, someone else, miskate, toof, rob mall, pacifica, mossyrock, [blank], intergalactic faerie funk, bix, and i luv luvbirds.

taperecorder's sophomore effort "the boombox e.p." goes in a completely different direction yet still makes a connection with the mood and feeling of his first release. much slower this time around, taperecorder uses strange off kilter textured pads and tones over broken electro beats to create a unique sound that invite the listener to add their own ideas and moments to the songs. say whu? just go take a listen.

the juicebox e.p. is a three song journey into the land of dark and lovely dance music. not easily definable and certainly a challenging release from this veteren music maker (he wrote all the music for i.f.f. as well as writes all of the music for mossyrock). the juicebox e.p. treads on the familiar land of house music, tech house, and glitch while at the same time incorporating an intelligent take and twist on it all.
